A classy little perennial with smooth gray green leaves, edged broadly with swaths of creamy white. Look closely and you'll see tiny serrations along the margins. Has a low, soft and billowy, mounded habit in the garden. Unique flowers are balloon-like at the base with a ring of pure white petals around the top, accented by delicate dark stamen inside. Also known as "catchfly". Blooms throughout the summer. Great for use in sunny fairy gardens, trough gardens and rock gardens. A very pretty and well-behaved plant. Perennial in the ground to USDA zone 4. Grow in full sun to part shade. Outdoors only; not recommended for indoor gardens. Remove any green (not variegated) shoots.
