Boyd's Willow. A unique plant bringing instant age and drama to miniature gardens and trough gardens. Small, slow-growing shrub has stout stems and a gnarly branch structure that only gets better with time. Can be grown as a shrub or trimmed into tree form. Soft fuzzy light green leaves emerge in spring, changing to deeper silvery gray in summer. Deciduous plants drop their leaves in fall, fully revealing the beautiful structure to be enjoyed all winter. Plant in full sun to partial shade, in the ground and containers and troughs. Tough plants, originally from the mountains of Scotland, are said to be drought, deer, and salt tolerant. A good choice for bonsai. Grows about 1" per year, reaching about 12" high and wide in 10 years when planted in the ground. Plants are available in 3.5"h x 4"diameter pot. ***Please note - plants are currently dormant - no leaves. They will be breaking dormancy and developing leaves soon.***
