St. Patrick's Day 2019
It's a bit o' green to help us make it until spring.  A little black metal tub is lined with a plastic bag to hold the potting soil.  A miniature "ivy" climbs over the simple triple arbor - just three flexible wooden stakes with the ends tucked in the soil.  Yellow baby tears grow along the back, with a clump of miniature mondo grass at the opposite end of the arbor.  Bits of gray Spanish moss are nestled along the edge to mask the plastic liner and cover the open soil.

Happy St Patrick's Day!
After a long winter of grays and browns, it feels good to see some green again! St. Patrick's Day gardens are a favorite of mine. I'm not Irish, but I really do love the color green. Using a single color (aka a monochromatic color scheme) lets you focus its shades and tints, and textures and patterns without the distraction of mixing different hues.
